Another disturbing side effect of Accutane® is the development of a variety of psychiatric illnesses in its users. In the United Kingdom alone, there have been at least 16 cases of schizophrenia and psychoses in patients whose ages are between 17 to 25. This side effect manifests itself equally in both men and women.

The last side effect is dangerous - because there has been documented proof that in some instances, users of Accutane® are driven to suicidal situations. Some users have already taken their lives.
