DOES ACJUVA REALLY WORK?

One of the things noticed about the Acjuva system is that it places too much faith in so called botanical ingredients. According to the company website, the Acjuva system does not make use of Benzoyl peroxide. The company considers the chemical “something made of two bad words”.

This is primarily problematic - because there have already been many medical studies that prove the effectiveness of Benzoyl peroxide in the removal of acne. The basic anatomy of acne is simple enough - you have a lot anaerobic bacteria living in spaces in the skin with little or no oxygen. Introduce oxygen through Benzoyl peroxide and you kill the bacteria - it’s that simple.

How does the Acjuva system take care of this problem? We noticed that one of the active ingredients used for Acjuva is tea tree oil - a traditional ingredient because of its antifungal and antibacterial potential. However, it would seem that such active ingredients come in too little doses in the products themselves. How much tea tree oil can you put in an 8 oz bottle of cleanser along with other supposedly effective anti-acne ingredients?
